Sploshing, also known as WAM — wet and messy — involves food or similar substances used
playfully. Of all the categories on a cam platform it is the one with the most practical logistics
attached, and that shapes everything about how it gets arranged.
Why it needs advance notice
This category creates actual mess in an actual room. Someone has to prepare a surface, protect
equipment, buy materials and clean afterwards — and none of that can happen spontaneously.
Performers who offer it usually schedule it. A request made cold in a public room is almost
always declined for that reason alone, not out of reluctance. Asking a day ahead changes the answer
more than anything you could say.
What to settle in advance
- What substances. This is the core of the negotiation, and preferences vary
enormously between viewers and performers. - What is off the table. Some things stain, some irritate skin, some damage
equipment. A performer’s limits here are often practical rather than personal. - Timing. Scheduled, not on demand.
- Duration and price. Longer than a standard session, because setup and cleanup
are part of it.
Why it costs more
Materials, preparation, cleanup and often replaced equipment. Where performers quote a premium
for this category, that is what it reflects — it is one of the few cases where a higher rate has an
obvious mechanical explanation.

Safety, briefly but genuinely
This is a category where a performer’s limits often exist for physical reasons: skin reactions,
eye irritation, temperature. Pressing on any of those is not a matter of negotiation.
The same applies to anything near electrical equipment. A performer who declines part of a
request on those grounds is being sensible, and the correct response is to accept it.
Etiquette
Do not escalate mid-session. What was agreed is what was agreed; adding to it
while someone is in the middle of it is the fastest way to end a session badly.
Accept a scheduling answer as an answer. “Not today, but Thursday” is a yes.
